About Richard Newton Consulting
I established Richard Newton Consulting in 2011 following a career of nearly 20 years in the not-for-profit sector, primarily in Wales. I had been frequently asked if I could use my fundraising, project management and wider business planning skills to help organisations. I decided that my experience working in senior and leadership positions in large charities could support organisations in the not-for-profit sector.
I created a consultancy that is committed to working with not-for-profit organisations. Richard Newton Consulting builds long-term relationships that benefit our clients and help their resilience. The consultancy’s expertise spans organisational governance; business plans and feasibility studies; funding and fundraising; research and consultation; quality assurance and impact; and evaluation. We recognise the interdependencies between the different business elements that an organisation needs to thrive. Our work contributes to organisations’ sustainability and resilience during a period when demand for services is ever-increasing and the sector is operating in a challenging economic environment.
Since 2011, Richard Newton Consulting has grown from a sole trader to a consultancy with a team of seven consultants supported by a wider network of associates. Richard Newton Consulting has developed a UK-wide client base together with a small portfolio of international projects. Our clients range from large international charities with turnovers of hundreds of millions of pounds to small volunteer-led organisations. Some clients work with us on a retained basis and others on a project basis. Our aim is to build a relationship that sustains and works for everybody involved.
I am proud, and I hope it is testimony to the high quality of the services we offer, that the majority of our clients form long-term relationships with us. This is due to the results that we deliver for clients, and our approach.
Central to our approach is our way of working –
- We seek to be transparent in our activities
- We spend time getting to know all our clients
- We work to a clear mutually agreed brief, and we talk to you if we feel the brief needs to change
- We work to an agreed pricing structure
- We offer you a dedicated point of contact
- We never place ourselves in a position where we face a conflict of interest with other clients
Our services have grown in response to demand from our clients.
We would be delighted to explore, with no obligation, how we may be able to work with you. Please feel free to contact us.
