About us

RNC was founded by Richard Newton in 2011, as he wanted to share his skills and extensive experience built through a 20-year-long career in the charity sector.
His leadership roles include Head of Commercial for Prince's Trust Cymru, Director Cymru for Rathbone and senior fundraising roles at Barnardo's and Marie Curie.
RNC began as a fundraising consultancy. Since 2011, we've evolved to offer more comprehensive support services in response to demand. We see the relationship between financial sustainability and strategic planning and operational delivery.
You can commission RNC to deliver a distinct piece of work or develop a long-term relationship with us to support your resilience and growth. We're recognised for excellence, tailoring support to a client's needs and value for money.
Our work is informed by our team's collective experience and deep understanding of the not-for-profit sector. The majority of RNC's team have worked in the sector for over 20 years. We know the pressures of competing deadlines, changing priorities and, sometimes, that sense of firefighting.
We add capacity, insight, and support organisations to focus.
Whether we're working with organisations in Beirut's refugee camps or organisations responding to the Afghanistan refugee crisis, in Welsh-speaking rural communities or the UK's inner-cities, with people at the sharp end of disadvantage and inequalities, our approach is always how can RNC add benefit? We work with these communities to empower change.
We want our work to have a lasting impact.
Our clients include Wales' flagship national arts, heritage and cultural organisations, charities with multi-million turnovers, faith organisations to volunteer-led micro-organisations. Our clients include organisations enriched by people with lived experience, including D/deaf and disabled people, refugees, culturally diverse and minoritised communities, and care-experienced young people.
Based in Cardiff, we operate through a team across England and Wales.
