Lisa Buckley joined RNC as Head of Philanthropy in January 2022 from the Royal Osteoporosis Society where she was Head of Supporter Engagement.
There Lisa was responsible for public fundraising to achieve annual income targets of £3.5 million and maximise supporter engagement including a membership scheme with over 18,000 members.
Before her role at the Royal Osteoporosis Society, Lisa was Head of Fundraising at Tenovus Cancer Care where its legacy fundraising promotion campaign won the 2017’s CIM Wales campaign award in the Not-for-Profit category. Other successes at the charity included being a BBC Radio 4 Appeal charity in 2018 and successfully leading a capital appeal to double Tenovus’s original £ 1 million target, including securing the organisation’s first seven-figure donation.
Deputising for the Director of Income Generation, Lisa had direct responsibility for 65 retail charity shops and over 150 staff.
Lisa has an infectious enthusiasm for all fundraising but has a keen interest in philanthropy, individual giving, legacy giving, lotteries/raffles, and community engagement, and brings extensive experience in these areas. She is a champion of EDI and employee well-being best practice and enjoys working with teams to create a positive and resilient culture.
Lisa’s other roles across her 20-year career in fundraising include Business & Development Manager at Arts & Business Cymru and Deputy Regional Fundraising Manager for Global Charities (Global Media Group). As Area Fundraiser for Wales at Breast Cancer Care, she secured charity of the year status with the Principality Building Society. She was Community Fundraising Manager at Marie Curie Cancer Care (SE Wales & Penarth Hospice) and the RAG/Student Liaison Officer at The Anthony Nolan Trust.

Outside the office, Lisa is kept busy with her young family and little black cat but loves nothing more than the company of good friends, a cheese plate, and a decent bottle of wine.
